Hi, I'm Karen!

From a young age, I’ve always been a go-getter, always doing and never stopping. I enjoyed it and always thought that ‘doing’ and ‘being’ productive was the way to be. So of course whilst I was working to advance my 17 year career in architecture and juggling life being a mum to my 2 young kids I decided to do more and started a new small business and went back to studying!

​I managed to juggle this busy work and life for 3 years before the cracks began to show and the balls began to fall. I saw and felt the hidden drivers coming but continued to push on and subsequently spiralled down the rabbit hole of burnout. The stress affected my health, physical exhaustion took over and my mental and emotional capacity for work and life lost control. I was exhausted, bloated, put on weight, always sick, couldn't sleep or focus well, was constantly in pain, inflammation, allergies and anxious all the time.

I had to learn to slow down to heal and came out of it on the other side not wanting anyone else to experience what I had. Subsequently I left architecture to follow my passion in health and wellness. I went on to successfully run two small health and wellness businesses for 5 years before transitioning over to wellness coaching as The Wellness Keeper.

​During this journey, I embarked on studying everything I could on health and wellness - building biology [the science of how the built environment affects our health], trained in natural alternatives and therapies - reiki healing, vedic meditation to how to use food and nutrition as medicine, gut healing along with coaching, facilitation, mindset and human behaviour, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Time Line therapy.

Over the years, I continued to build my foundation of wellness through healthy habits and found this became my life toolkit to ignite, inspire and uplevel the well in me. 

Combining my lived experience with my architecture experience and what I continue to practice on a daily basis, I now work with business leaders, entrepreneurs, teams and organisations to help them make wellness an everyday priority, build and maximise their physical, mental, emotional and inner self wellbeing for life and work, creating healthy happy individuals, teams and organisations through evidence based bio and eco hacks and habits.

These foundations of wellness as a strategy, concept and solution 
  • meets the soft needs of the commercial world - connection, inclusivity, diversity and culture
  • supports each individual's health transformation towards longevity and vitality 
  • creates happy healthy sustainable environments, inside and outside
