Earlier this year, after being recently separated found I had a decision to make - to sit on the couch, eat pizza, drink beer and watch Netflix or choose a better path. I was overweight and not doing any exercise, which was starting to affect my productivity at work. Often when we choose to do something new, challenge ourselves, we think that it’s going to be a massive undertaking. This hasn’t been that at all. It’s been exciting and rewarding every step of the way. It hasn’t been something that has been overly challenging with regards to time, energy and effort, so that’s been great.
Where I am 10 weeks later is phenomenal! Out of all the many sectors of my life that we go through in the circle of life, all of them have increased. I’ve lost close to 10kgs, I can run to the car and back without being out of breath and everything else is coming into alignment. There are things that have happened in my work, my personal life and family environment that is now a positive from the work I have done with Karen. I have gained far more than what I expected. I feel absolutely fantastic! I can honestly say that today is probably the best I’ve felt in the 48 years I’ve been on this planet.

I’m currently working with Karen through her program, Healthy Wellthy Life and as a result I’m sleeping really well and in a really good headspace at the moment. My skin is fresher and my eyes are clearer. I just feel lighter in all ways; it’s not just about my weight anymore! I feel like a better version of me and can’t wait for the rest of the ride!

"If I had to explain in one word what has changed for me over the past 4 months working with Karen, it would be ‘awareness’. Becoming aware of all the things I can do has been pretty awesome and understanding that it’s not too difficult to improve my wellbeing, health and diet. I really enjoyed our coaching sessions and found them really good to debrief on what I achieved, what I struggled with and I always had Karen’s support and reassurance. It wasn’t intimidating at all. Instead I found it a very calming process, with no pressure or judgment. I had chosen to do something good for myself and always felt Karen was in my camp to guide me every step of the way. I met Karen at the monthly Social Impact Meet-Up and after chatting about what she does, in particular helping busy people learn healthy habits for sleep and energy, I knew she would be perfect to provide our weekly wellbeing activity for the team.
